More than UAH 50 millions were invested in this big trade centre, which area is about 15 000 sq metres. A famous supermarket, 'Velyka Kyshenya' will occupy 2,5 000 sq metres of area on the ground floor. The main tenants of the shopping centres' areas are as follows: 'Euroset', 'Sportland', 'Comfy', 'Velyka Apteka' pharmacies' chain and some others. Group of companies 'Velyka Kyshenya' is planning to build more than 12 shopping centres which areas will vary between 10 000 and 100 000 sq metres. The aforementioned Retial Real Estate Market will be built by 2008, according to Velyka Kyshenya's development programme. New shopping centres have recently been opened in Kirovograd, Nikolaev, Sebastopol, Chernovtsy and Kharkov. 'Retail Group' company expects to receive more than UAH 1 250 billions of investments in these shopping centres development. Velyka Kyshenya's management company, 'Retail Group' is to create new discount shops chain - 'Prosto Market'. First shop of that chain is due to appear in Nezhin on September 29th. 'London & Regional Properties' (UK) bought 'Globus' shopping centre which is situated on the Independence Square in Kyiv. The company bought 100% of shares for $200 millions. Moreover, the company has also bought two shopping centres which are also situated in Kyiv - 'Podol Plaza' and 'Magellan'. 'Nash Kray' supermarket chain's owners (main office in Lutsk, Volynskaya oblast) restructured the business into holding, which means that the business is due to be offered for sale, according to the experts' evaluations. Main Ukrainian retail companies are among potential purchasers, including 'Ukrainski retail' company that recently appeared on the market (and that is a company of 'System Capital Management'). EBRD will grant $100 millions of credit to Swedish 'IKEA' to finance land areas purchases and back the development of large shopping centres called 'MEGA' in Ukraine. The debt will consist of four parts - these are four credits for the development of four shopping centres in four different regions of Ukraine. The aforementioned credits will be granted to IKEA's subsidiary, ' IKEA Dnipro'. The total cost of the project is about $414 millions. Recently, IKEA revealed its intention to purchase the first land plot near Odessa. Swedish 'Heritage Properties International AB' received permission from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine to purchase more than 50% of shares of JSC 'Mandarin Plaza'. The company, which headquarters is situated in Stockholm, is mostly engaged in investment activities. 'Tiko Construction' Management Company and 'Dragon-Ukrainian Properties & Development' (DUPD) investment fund began the development of new shopping mall situated on 48, Komarova Ave in Kyiv. Total investments volumes are estimated as $50 millions. The new shopping mall will be put into operation by 2009. New shopping mall, 'Aurora', is to be open in the last quarter of 2007 in Lugansk. Ukrainian consulting company 'Ukrainska Torgova Gildiya' that created the conception of the shopping centre will be the exclusive broker. Total area of 'Aurora' is 10 600 sq metres, and it is one of the first community centres in the region. The following leasers have already shown their intention to rent retail area in 'Aurora': supermarket 'SPAR', home appliances supermarket 'FoxMart', clothes shops, different beauty shops, mobile phones stores and some others. National retail chain 'PIK' will open its new supermarket in Dnepropetrovsk (9, Kalinova str.) in October. Total area of the shop is 4 000 sq metres. 'PIK' supermarket will be a part of 'MIRIADA' shopping centre (total area - 17 000 sq metres). Both projects were developed by 'ICD Investments' company. LLC 'Rovex' (Ternopol) is planning to build a new shopping centre in Ternopol. The new centre will be situated in Solnechny city district on the plot of 9 hectares. The company has already invested UAH 20 millions in purchase of the ground plot and plans to invest some more UAH 10 millions in the shopping centre's development. 'Rovex' company announced that the new shopping centre will be commissioned in 2009. New three-level shopping mall 'Terminal' will appear in Vinnitsa. Its total area will reach 42 000 sq metres and the aforementioned centre is planned to be the only one in Vinnitsa. The conception was created by 'Real Estate Solutions', the company that also develops the project. Currently, retail areas in the 'Terminal' are open for rent. 'ICD Investments' company is planning to invest in 'MIRIADA' shopping centres' development more than $60 millions. By the end of this year the company will open the first shopping centre in Dnepropetrovsk. In 2008 the company plans to open at least 3 shopping centres. 'Sanitex' is to quit Ukrainian retail business. The negotiations on the sell of 'Bumi-market' chain began recently. It is predicted that 'Fozzy Group' will be a buyer, because it already has a similar project - 'Fora' retail chain. Total cost of 'Bumi-market' chain is about $25-30 millions.
